Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), established in 1972 in Kochi, Kerala, is India’s largest shipbuilding and ship repair facility under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways. Alongside its industrial operations, CSL runs the Marine Engineering Training Institute (METI), which provides DG Shipping-approved training programs for aspiring marine engineers and seafarers. METI is ISO 9001-certified and offers Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) courses, STCW safety training, and specialized workshops. With modern laboratories, simulators, and hands-on training facilities, CSL ensures cadets and officers are prepared for global shipping careers.
